We Built This for Ourselves First
We're a family of five with three boys. We wanted them to develop healthy study habits—a bit of learning before games and videos, every day. Not as punishment, but as a simple routine that makes sense.
We also wanted to help them with topics they find challenging. When Herman struggles with fractions or Johannes has a science test coming up, they get extra practice on exactly those topics. The AI generates fresh questions, and they walk into tests feeling prepared instead of stressed.
StudyFirst makes all of this seamless. The kids know the deal: 15 minutes of focused learning, then their favorite apps unlock. No complicated setup, no daily reminders needed—it just works.
Now our boys have real study habits. They're building knowledge day by day, getting stronger in subjects that used to frustrate them, and actually enjoying the process. That's what we wanted all along.
Meet StudyFirst's First (and Most Demanding) Users
Johannes, 11
Our oldest and the family fact machine. Loves science, space, and telling everyone "actually, that's not quite right..." He's the reason we added the Science subject and made sure the explanations are detailed enough to satisfy a curious mind. His verdict: "The questions are actually interesting, not like school worksheets."
Herman, 9
The classic middle child who will find any loophole you leave open. If there's a way to game the system, Herman will discover it within 24 hours. Thanks to him, StudyFirst is basically bulletproof. He's also why we focused on making Math and English actually engaging—because if Herman does it without complaining, any kid will.
Luukas, 3
Blissfully unaware of what's coming for him in a few years. Currently enjoys life to the fullest—running around, making messes, and wondering why his brothers have to "do the learning thing" before playing. His time will come. We're ready.
Kadi
The one who makes sure the study context matches what the boys are actually learning in school. She uploads homework photos, reviews what topics need more practice, and ensures the questions make sense. Also the person who said "this could help other families too" and convinced us to share StudyFirst with the world.
Karl
15+ years in tech, but my most challenging project has been raising three boys into normal human beings. I built StudyFirst because I wanted to give them good habits without constant nagging. Now the app handles the consistency, and I get to be just Dad. Best code I've ever written.
